District Attorney James Montoya urged El Pasoans to remain vigilant against scammers as a man was sentenced to two decades in prison for operating a real estate scam, stealing more than $500,000 from nearly 70 victims.
"The cases that make the news are violent crimes, homicides, child sex offenses, and rightfully so," Montoya said at a Thursday, Aug. 28, news conference.
