LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- An area of high pressure has moved into the Midwest following Thursday's showers and storms, leaving the region with plenty of sunshine this holiday weekend.

Temperatures will start in the upper 60s on Friday with mostly sunny skies.

Throughout the weekend, temperatures will warm while sunny skies remain overhead, culminating in highs in the low 80s and sunny skies for Labor Day.
