Expanding your streaming empire using blockbuster properties can come at a serious price. Disney entered the streaming wars with exclusive new series from the worlds of Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar — and the cost was dwindling viewers, box office returns, or a combination of both; Hollywood's biggest franchises relegated to being mere content in the eyes of audiences. In this regard, Paramount's attempts to expand upon their most famous franchises are a relative success.
