Ambitious Heart of Midlothian have confirmed that Brazilian midfielder Ageu will join the Jambos in what will be a club record transfer deal.

The 23-year-old switches to Gorgie from Portuguese top flight side Santa Clara and the move is subject to a visa being granted, Scottish Football Association approval and international clearance.

Ageu joins on a four-year contract for an undisclosed amount and he is described as an exciting, creative midfielder with a knack for unpicking defences with key passes.

Ageu was with Brazlian giants Cruzeiro before moving to Santa Clara in 2023 and he played his part in Santa Clara’s title triumph in 23/24, winning the second tier and securing promotion to the top league.
