What is closed on Labor Day?
Since Labor Day is a federal holiday, many businesses will be closed in Connecticut and nationwide to observe the holiday.
All banks and the U.S. Postal Service are closed on Monday nationwide. Other delivery companies like FedEx and UPS typically also don't deliver on Labor Day.
In Connecticut, all non-emergency government offices will be closed, including our State Capitol building and other legislative offices. Public libraries will also be closed.
