SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Police are investigating after a man drove a vehicle into the back of a parked patrol cruiser, the Scottsdale Police Department said.
Around 4:30 a.m., police said a man drove a military-style SUV into the back of a parked patrol vehicle near Hayden and Thomas roads. Officials said an officer was seated in the driver's seat at the time of the crash.
The officer involved in the crash sustained a minor injury and was treated on scene, according to Scottsdale PD. The other man who drove the SUV into the patrol vehicle was taken to the hospital.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and there is no current threat to the community.
