After winning two games at home, the Owen Sound Baysox failed to close out the series in Ivy and now will return to Tom Williams Park on Monday, needing a win or a tie to earn a berth in the championship series. Article content Article content
Owen Sound had a chance to sweep the Ivy Rangers in Game 3 on the road, but the Rangers held strong at their home park, eeking out a 7-7 tie on Tuesday to stay alive in the series, and then beating Owen Sound 6-5 on Wednesday.
Ties are necessary in the NDBL because most of the league’s ballparks lack stadium lights, making extra-inning games impossible after sunset.
Therefore, the best-of-five series is now a race to six points, with a win earning a team t
