The defending state champion Northwestern Lehigh High School football team hasn’t been accustomed to facing a deficit in recent years. The Tigers didn’t enjoy being on the wrong side of the scoreboard on Thursday night against rival Northern Lehigh , so they disposed of the deficit in 14 seconds.
Northwestern junior Brady Zimmerman broke free down the right sideline for a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to give the Tigers a first-quarter lead.
The return sparked an avalanche of points for Northwestern as it rolled to a 56-13 road victory over Northern Lehigh in the annual Mountain Road Rumble.
