SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises drivers to plan for moderate travel delays on Labor Day.
On Monday, Sept. 1, drivers can expect 30 minutes of additional delay between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on westbound US-6. The peak hours for delay will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
UDOT shared that most of their projects will stop construction and open all lanes to traffic to help minimize delays. However, some existing lane restrictions and traffic shifts will stay in effect.
Both directions of US-6 from Diamond Fork Road to the U.S. Route 89 junction in Thistle is reduced to one lane while crews work on various highway improvements.
