NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) -- Motorists in New Iberia may have a little trouble getting around for a while starting next week.
The City of New Iberia has announced street improvements in the city starting on Tuesday, Sept. 2. The construction of each street is expected to last approximately three weeks, weather permitting, officials said.
The streets affected are as follows: • Gajan Street from St. Peter Street E to Bernard Street • Dorothy Circle from Deare Street to the cul-de-sac • Elliot Street from Evangline Street to the dead end (East and West) • Seal Street from Fontelieu Drive to Deare Street • School Street from Cherokee Street to Deare Street • Peach Street from Adrian Street to the dead end • Dogwood Avenue from Jefferson Terrace Blvd. to Peach Street
Road work wil
