The Powerball jackpot has increased to a massive $1 billion prize ahead of the drawing on Saturday.
This is the largest jackpot in the game since April 6, 2024, when a $1.32 billion jackpot was won on a ticket sold in Oregon, and the sixth largest jackpot in the history of the game.
The $1 billion pot has an estimated cash value of $453.1 million.
The Powerball jackpot has not been hit all summer, with the last $204.5 million jackpot prize won on May 31 in California.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each. Tickets can be purchased until 9:50 p.m. Saturday at Massachusetts State Lottery retailers across the state, and drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
