Andre Jameus is no stranger to the courts.
Facing charges arising from an incident at his parents’ home that involved threats and violence, Jameus was looking at more time in the Sudbury Jail.

Instead, Jameus, 39, ended up with a time-served sentence that took into account 68 days of pre-trial custody credit after he took steps to get help.
“I’m clearly concerned,” Ontario Court Justice Jenny Restoule-Mallozzi told Jameus. ” I had you in my court in December. There was a condition (that) your parents were not to have contact with you. Three days later, they signed consent. Then, you were in their home and out of control.”
Restoule-Mallozzi, however, told Jameus he had put in work rehabilitating himself while in custody and preparing his after-release plan.
