Saying 'billionaires are stealing from working families,' dozens of groups plan nationwide Labor Day protests

Community organizers are planning nationwide protests over the Labor Day weekend. Coordinated as part of the 50501 movement, the Workers Over Billionaires rallies will take place Saturday through Monday in hundreds of cities across the U.S.

“Labor and community are planning more than a barbecue on Labor Day this year because we have to stop the billionaire takeover,” participating organizer group May Day Strong wrote on its website. “Billionaires are stealing from working families, destroying our democracy and building private armies to attack our towns and cities.”
