Expanding the scope of The Wizard of Oz , one of the greatest films ever made, to fit the absurd and sure-to-close-within-five-years Sphere didn’t offend me. It’s a dumb idea for people who don’t appreciate film but want to feel like they’re at the front of the line for something “cutting edge.” It doesn’t improve the film, nor is it a “new medium” as the people in charge of it like to say.
