HARRIS — Further details have been released regarding the fatal shooting that took place in Menominee County Thursday. According to a press release from the Michigan State Police (MSP), the shooting occurred at a home in in Harris Township early Thursday morning, which resulted in the death of a man.

According to the release, troopers from the Iron Mountain Post responded at about 12:19 a.m.(CST) Thursday to a 911 call reporting there had been a shooting at a residence on County Road 551 in Menominee County’s Harris Township. Troopers arrived and found that a 34-year-old man from Wilson had been shot. Troopers and EMS personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead on the scene.
