Marshall Lampkin, 35, of St. Louis, Missouri, was convicted Aug. 26 of five counts of mail fraud at a federal jury trial.

Lampkin engaged in an approximately six-month Kohl's Cash scam in 2021 and 2022, in which he made purchases both in-store and online with the same Kohl's Cash, according to records.

As part of the scam, he returned some items in-store and sold others through Facebook.

Lampkin's scheme involved purchases at Kohl's stores in 13 states, including Wisconsin, records say.
