NEWTON, Kan. (KSNW) -- The City of Newton is seeking input about the future of the city.

The city says it has begun its new comprehensive planning initiative, called Newton Next. The initiative will update the previous plan, ReNewton, which was developed in 2010.

Newton officials say the plan will serve as a roadmap for the city, outlining its approach to housing, transportation, land use, and economic development for the future, while preserving its unique character.

“This is a chance for Newton to come together and imagine what’s next,” said Mayor Rich Stinnett. “We want every resident, business owner, and community partner to be part of this journey.”
