Construction of a new roundabout on Horizon Drive at the intersection of G Road is nearing completion with traffic moved onto the new concrete that was poured for the roundabout.
Grand Junction Public Works Director Trent Prall said the construction has remained on schedule with the project expected to be completed by early October. The remaining work includes finishing up the concrete around the roundabout, installing signage and landscaping.
“We are continuing to work on concrete on some of the outer portions of the roundabout, as well as the medians coming into the roundabout on all four legs,” Prall said. “We anticipate that concrete is going to finish around mid-September.”
