The New York City Health Department on Friday declared an end to an outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease in Central Harlem that killed seven people and sickened more than 100 others.

The agency last identified someone in the area with Legionnaires’ symptoms on Aug. 9, it said in a release. As of Thursday, 114 people had been diagnosed with the disease, including 90 who were hospitalized. Six remain in the hospital.
