Boys Soccer: Bernander finds net twice in loss

ELK RIVER — Preston Bernander scored two goals for the Brainerd Warriors in a 4-2 Section 8-3A loss to the Elk River Elks Friday, Aug. 29.

The score was tied 1-1 at halftime. Odin Sjoberg recorded nine saves as the Warriors tallied eight shots on goal.

“We had a good bounce back and fight from the team,” Warriors’ head coach Nick Weeks said. “We had good effort throughout the whole game. There are holes that we are looking at fixing. It will be fun to play Sartell and they are always a physical team.”
