A series of earthquakes continue to be recorded north of Battle Mountain on Friday, according to the Nevada Seismological Laboratory.
A magnitude 4.14 quake struck just after 7:15 p.m. Thursday, with an epicenter more than 30 miles north of Battle Mountain. Earlier that afternoon, a magnitude 4.26 quake hit the same general area just before 4 p.m.
The activity continued overnight. Four additional earthquakes were reported early Friday, ranging in magnitude from 3.35 to 3.73. All were centered in the same region north of Battle Mountain.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries. The seismological lab notes all reports are preliminary and subject to change.
