When Amanda McArthur found out she was pregnant in 2021, it was a dream come true.
She and her husband, Brad Carman, had wanted a third child and they weren’t sure it would happen for them.

When Declyn died at three months of age, McArthur and her husband and two children felt not only the hole it left in their family, but also the confusion, disappointment and grief of losing a baby during the tumultuous time of the COVID-19 pandemic and in uncertain circumstances.
