The 1000lb Sisters family is grieving another devastating loss as Katie Slaton, cousin to reality stars Amy and Tammy Slaton, has died at the age of 37 after fighting stage 4 gastric adenocarcinoma, an aggressive and rare form of stomach cancer . ‌

Katie, who appeared several times on the popular TLC programme, including a notable moment in Season 5 following Tammy's discharge from a weight-loss facility, passed away earlier this week. ‌
