The digital release of a horror movie reimagining of a Disney classic has now arrived. Many classic animated movies made by Walt Disney Animation Studios are adapted from fairy tales or classic children's novels, including Cinderella , Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs , Pinocchio , Alice in Wonderland , Sleeping Beauty , and The Little Mermaid .

Multiple Disney animated movies , and the stories behind them, have been remade in a variety of ways. Some of these remakes are produced by Disney themselves , and they include the billion-dollar live-action hits The Lion King , Aladdin , and Beauty and the Beast . However, non-Disney titles include fairy tale retellings like Snow White and the Huntsman and even horror movie versions.
