A 58-year-old man is facing charges following a series of commercial break-ins across New Sudbury and the South End over the past month.
On Aug. 28, detectives from the Greater Sudbury Police Service’s Break Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit concluded an investigation into a suspect believed to be responsible for at least 15 incidents from July 23 to Aug. 27.

In each case, the suspect allegedly smashed windows to get inside businesses to steal cash from registers, police said in a release.
With support from Patrol Operations, members of the Integrated Crime Section conducted a targeted traffic stop on Notre Dame Avenue, where they arrested the suspect.
