The New York Mets added Ryan Helsley at the trade deadline in hopes of him complementing Edwin Diaz in the back end of the bullpen, but that hasn't gone to plan so far.
Helsley is tipping his pitches , conceding 10 earned runs in his last seven games and recording a 10.38 ERA since being acquired by the Mets. He knows it will take some work to fix, but he admitted the lack of results are frustrating.
"I'm not trying to sound arrogant or anything, but I feel like my stuff's too good to get hit around as consistently as it has since I've been here," Helsley told Anthony DiComo of MLB.com .
