ORONO -- The Maine Field Hockey team lost to the No. 8 team in the country the Boston College Eagles by a score of 2-0 at the Maine Field Hockey Complex on Friday afternoon.
The Eagles opened the scoring on the first possession of the game as Madelieve Drion got it started.
BC would create a couple other great chances but Maine goalie Rozarie Mrazova would come up with a couple key saves to keep it 1-0.
However the Eagles would break through late in the first quarter to make it 2-0, as Melea Weber tapped in a goal.
Maine registered nine penalty corners, but failed to convert any of them into goals.
Maine will host Indiana at 11AM on Monday at the Maine Field Hockey Complex.
