JOLIET, Ill. (WLS) -- Some Joliet residents were asked to shelter in place Friday afternoon, after a dispute between neighbors involving a gun, police said.

Joliet police responded to the 900-block of Ann Street around 1:30 p.m. for a report of someone shooting a gun in the air, police said.

During a dispute between neighbors, someone fired one shot in the air, police said.

A 25-year-old Joliet man has been arrested, and charges are pending in connection with the incident.

No one was injured; it's not clear if there was any property damage, police said.

Residents in the area received a reverse 911 call to shelter in place.

Just before 3 p.m., police said the scene was secured, and the shelter-in-place has been lifted.
