BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WAND) — The Bloomington Police Department arrested a 35-year-old man on 44 counts of child pornography Thursday.

BPD's cyber crimes unit started an investigation on Aaron Ringo after a technology company made a report regarding the uploading and sharing of videos believed to be child sex abuse material.

Detectives executed multiple search warrants and found evidence leading to Ringo's arrest.

Ringo was charged with multiple felonies related to the possession and distribution of child pornography with victims under the age of 13.
