A flood advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Friday at 4:14 p.m. in effect until 5:45 p.m. for Suffolk County.

The weather service adds, "Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected."

"Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas," says the weather service. "Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads."
