The 17-year-old forwards began the off-season sporting the Maple Leaf and finished it the same way.

They prepared for their sophomore season in the Ontario Hockey League by twice representing Canada at under-18 tournaments.

“Every time you throw the leaf on your chest, it’s an honour,” Di Iorio said.
