DES MOINES, Iowa -- It's been a couple of degrees warmer Friday than it was Thursday in most areas as we add on another nice August day. Your weather timeline walks you into changes coming starting Sunday afternoon. Lows will bottom out around 60 by Saturday morning. Like Friday, a spotty late-day shower is possible, especially over by Iowa City and other parts of eastern Iowa.

Sunday starts out dry, with rain in southwest Iowa. By afternoon, rain will blossom over parts of central Iowa, and those chances continue into the evening. Monday morning again looks dry, but rain chances yet again increase by late Labor Day afternoon into the nighttime hours.
