ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Numerous rounds of gunshots and the call of a downed officer could be heard in a newly-released 911 call during the Aug. 8 shooting at the CDC.

“Across the street from the CDC, there’s an active shooter,” the caller said. “He’s had, I don’t know how many magazines now. He’s shooting at the officer.”

A slew of gunshots could be heard in the 911 call.

“The police officer is down,” the caller said, adding that he could not get to the officer.

David Rose, a DeKalb County police officer, was killed in the shooting.
