As the summer season ends, the Presque Isle Water Taxi is recapping the last few months.

After six years, the water taxi is making its return to the bayfront in May.

The Port Authority said an agreement with JettyLight, the operator of the Presque Isle Water Taxi, is in place for five years and credits their experience for helping to restart the service.

They said it's been a busy, well-received season of service by residents and tourists.

"People really have been loving that to be able to go to the beaches, especially folks that are at the hotels. The husband or wife is at the convention center in meetings, and the family, the kids, are able to go over and enjoy Presque Isle. We have a lot of compliments on that," said Julie Slomski, executive director of the Erie Western PA Port Auth
