Geddes, N.Y. — Fairgoers can look forward to sunny skies and comfortable temperatures Saturday as the New York State Fair heads into the holiday weekend.

The forecast calls for sunshine throughout the day with a high near 70 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

A light breeze will give way to cooler evening air, with temperatures dipping into the 50s. For fairgoers planning to catch a late-night concert, consider packing a sweatshirt or jacket.

After a week that included scattered showers and thunderstorms, Saturday will be an ideal day to enjoy rides, food and outdoor entertainment at the fair.

The fair runs through Labor Day. Attendance so far has topped 555,000.
