Sarnia Police officials are looking for people to weigh in about city policing needs, to help craft the service’s next three-year business plan.
A trio of town halls are planned in September to hear people’s thoughts about policing priorities.
Meetings with Sarnia city council, Aamjiwnaang First Nation council, and local school boards also are planned, as well as an online survey, to gather input for 2026-’28 priorities and direction, the service’s board decided this week.
The plan itself is expected to be crafted in early 2026, a report from Chief Derek Davis said.
The approach is similar to 2022 , when well-attended town halls helped form the service’s 2023-’25 plan, said police board chair Paul Wiersma.
