LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A Louisville doctor known prominently in the local sports scene has died.

Dr. Walter Badenhausen Jr. was 96.

Badenhausen was known for treating the likes of athletes, including at the University of Louisville and Bellarmine University.

According to Bellarmine, he served as the Knights' team doctor for more than 20 years and was inducted into their athletics Hall of Fame in 2011. This content is imported from Twitter.
