The creche and education centre at Holyrood was searched by police as part of an investigation into allegations that MSP Colin Smyth hid camera in a Parliament toilet .
Smyth was charged by police on August 5th over the possession of indecent images .
The Record yesterday revealed he is also facing charges of placing a camera in a toilet in the Scottish Parliament building.
Presiding Officer Alison Johnstone sent an new email to to all building users on Friday evening, confirming the search of the creche saying that no covert device has been “found”.
