FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A fundraiser being held next month is raising money for a local nonprofit organization.

Soarin’ Hawk Raptor Rehabilitation rescues and rehabilitates birds of prey and educates the public on the role that raptors play in the natural world.

On September 20, the organization will be hosting ‘Give a Hoot’.

From 6 to 9 p.m., community members are invited to Peace Montessori School in New Haven for an event featuring its resident birds as well as catering, an open bar, a silent auction, and photo opportunities.

Tickets for the event are $45 and can be purchased here .

The organization says proceeds will go toward building a larger home for its bald eagle, Jefferson.
