CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A man who fled from a crash in Chester Township more than a year ago -- and was later found to be wanted on a felony weapons warrant out of Florida -- has been arrested, police said.

The incident began Aug. 12, 2024, when officers responded to a crash on Mayfield Road near Manchester Drive around 2:28 a.m., according to a press release from the Chester Township Police Department . Callers reported the occupants of the vehicle had run from the scene after crashing into a guardrail. No injuries were reported, police said.

Police located a female passenger, who was issued a summons for obstructing official business and possession of drug paraphernalia.
