WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WFSB) - Millions of Americans are hitting the road and heading to the skies for one last getaway before summer ends.
Travel experts say this could be the busiest Labor Day weekend in more than a decade.
At Bradley International Airport, passengers arrived early Friday morning to beat the expected crowds.
While parking lots were full, many travelers were pleasantly surprised by the calm inside the terminal.
“The airport looks great this morning. I was expecting a rugby scrum,” said Cathy Schmalberher of Berlin, who was traveling with her husband Fritz. “We’re pleasantly surprised it’s not crazy in here.”
