A new dementia care program is being offered at no cost to Ohioans and their families who are under traditional Medicare.
Tembo Health, a New York City-based provider of comprehensive clinical care for people living with dementia, and Benjamin Rose, a Cleveland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of dementia patients and their caregivers, came together to form the program to help with everything from coordinating appointments to providing in-home support and educating and skill training caregivers, the duo announced in a news release on Aug. 21.
With an estimated 236,000 people living with dementia in Ohio and another 414,000 involved as caregivers, the two organizations felt it was crucial to give as much support as possible to both sides.
