TYLER, Texas (KETK) -- The UIL announced that it will enforce Senate Bill 2929, which allows officials to remove fans from games without prior warning.

According to the UIL and SB 2929, if a spectator is asked to leave, the decision is final under state law. Additionally, the UIL said schools are allowed three incidents before losing their home officials.

"Your cooperation helps model good sportsmanship and protect the integrity of our programs," the UIL said.

SB2929 will go into effect immediately and the bill was created in response to increasing concerns about the safety and respect afforded to game officials.
