EAST PETERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -- A long-time pizzeria in Lancaster County announced it will be closing its doors this weekend after operating for the past 47 years.

abc27 News reported back in November 2024 when the owners of Gargano's Pizzeria & Deli listed their long-time brick-and-mortar business, located on 5997 Main Street in East Petersburg, for sale.

At the time of this report, owner Joe Gargano told abc27 News that after operating the business for more than four decades, that he and his wife were finally ready to retire.

Although ready to retire, Gargano had said he would keep the business open until it sold; it now appears that time has finally come.
