Every September, Major League Baseball celebrates Roberto Clemente Day across its 30 clubs. This year is no exception, with PNC Park honoring the legendary Pirates player Sept. 15.

This year, however, the park is offering back-to-back ways to honor the late right fielder and altruist: On Sunday, Sept. 14, fans can watch the new “Clemente” documentary in the North Shore stadium, just two days after its release, MLB announced Friday.

From Mt. Lebanon-based filmmaker David Altrogge, the film has previously only screened at festivals, including the Three Rivers Film Festival in 2024.

Its executive producers include Clemente’s sons, Luis, Roberto Jr. and Roberto Enrique Clemente, and director Richard Linklater.
