An autopsy performed on Friday determined that a man found dead in west suburban Cicero residence was strangled to death.
The 40-year-old victim, whose identity wasn’t officially released, was discovered in a home in the 2800 block of South Cicero Avenue around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, according to an emailed statement on behalf of Cicero police.
The autopsy found that the man died from strangulation and was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Authorities said a caller told 911 they found the man while doing a well-being check, but provided no other details. Cicero investigators were conducting a criminal investigation.
