AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A young girl is proving that even small acts of kindness can make a big impact.
4-year-old Raygan sets up lemonade stands to help pay off past-due lunch accounts at local schools.
Last year, she raised more than $900, and every penny was donated back to students who needed a little extra help.
In a time when school lunch debt continues to grow, she shows how the power of community starts small.
“The impact it makes on those kids because obviously once they get to a certain point they get a different lunch, which can really effect self-esteem and the way that they contact with their peers. So, we wanted to make sure that we could try and prevent that,” said Chelsea Keplinger, Raygan’s mother.
