CLEVELAND, Ohio — When Cleveland Browns fans flood downtown on game days, the county is footing an extra bill — not for stadium upgrades, but for porta potties.

Cuyahoga County is paying $17,160 this fall to rent 12 portable restrooms at its downtown parking facilities during Browns home games. The units are delivered for all eight regular season games and up to three postseason contests, records show: six at the Huntington Park Garage, three at Courthouse Square, and three at the Summit Avenue lot.

County spokeswoman Jennifer Ciaccia said the restrooms aren’t a perk for the Browns, but a service for the county’s own paying customers.
