SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Even though temperatures have warmed up through the week, this taste of fall is a nice change of pace for many in the Ozarks.
However, pest control experts, like Jordan Hicks with Bug Zero, say it can also stir up some unwelcome pests.
“Spiders this time of year are really starting to start that overwintering process,” Hicks said. “We’ll see that more into September and October as well when those temperatures really start dropping.”
Hicks says it’s not just spiders. Stink bugs, Asian lady beetles, centipedes, ants, fleas - even mice will start looking for a warm place and more ahead of winter.
“Essentially, they’re chasing the food sources inside,” Hicks said. “Then, when they get inside, it’s nice and cozy, right? So, they want to stay in the home for the wint
