AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is hosting its annual Senior Safari event on Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is open to individuals ages 62 and older and features:

“With Senior Safari, this gives the opportunity for seniors to come and enjoy a special time at the zoo, all while learning more about services offered throughout the community,” the Akron Zoo’s Director of Marketing and Events Elena Bell told cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer.

Tickets are $7 and can be purchased online or at the door the day of the event for guests ages 62 and older. The Akron Zoo provides free general admission for all general admission days, including during Senior Safari, for licensed personal care attendants or aides, with staff identification, when they accompany a guest who requires assistance
